Age 0-4 months:

- Has good head control and can maintain head in midline

- Able to props on elbows during tummy time and intermittently holds head up

- Visually tracks an object or face with full neck rotation side to side

- Brings hands to midline (to mouth)

- Open and closes hands and moves toys from side to side

- Moves both arms and legs

Age 5-7 months:

- Rolls from tummy to back and back to tummy

- Purposeful play with toys

- Able to prop on extended arms during tummy time and holds head up

- Propped sitting

- Belly crawling

Age 8-12 months:

- Sitting unsupported

- Transitions in and out of sitting

- Crawling on hands and knees (known as creeping)

- Pulling to stand

- Controlled squat to retrieve object from floor while holding on to furniture

- Cruising furniture

- May attempt independent steps

Age 13-24 months:

- Walking independently

- Climbing on/off furniture

- Creeping up/down stairs

- Walking up/down inclines

- Running with hands up high

- Kicking a ball at least 6 ft

- Starting to jump

Age 3-5 years:

- Can throw a ball overhand and underhand

- Running with hands down at their side

- Jumping/hopping

- Riding a bicycle/tricycle

- Bilateral skills

- Good motor control

- Single leg balance for at least 5 seconds

- Visual motor skills
